Church School Registration

Sunday, September 12th, is the first Sunday of Church School and Homecoming Sunday! Before that date, please remember to register your child(ren) for the 2010-11 year. Even if you have registered in the past you need to register again so that all information is current. Accurate records are vital to our program, helping us determine class sizes, plan special events, order supplies, and furnish the diocese with the data they need for their purposes. Our registration system is also the primary method we use to contact you regarding cancellations, changes to the calendar, and special events. Registering online is quick and easy. Log onto www.stjohns-hingham.org and click on the “Register Your Child” tab.  One detail to remember: when specifying your child's grade level, use -2 for Nursery, -1 for Preschool, 0 for Kindergarten, 1 for 1st grade, etc. Questions? Community of St. John's Breakfast

The first St. John’s Breakfast of the season is Saturday, September 11, at 8 am in Upper Weld Hall. Our featured speaker is our new curate, the Rev. Anne Emry. The breakfasts are a great way to find out more about the people who belong to your parish while enjoying a wonderful meal.  Dorothy, our Sexton, and her crew whip up a great meal every time! Plan to attend. The cost is $4 per person. See the sign-up sheet in the church entryway.

Homecoming Sunday

Sunday, September 12, is Homecoming Sunday at St. John's.  It will also be a chance to celebrate our new Curate, Anne Emry's, ministry here.  There will be a luncheon in Upper Weld Hall immediately following the 10 am Eucharist.  If you are interested in helping please email Wendy Ellison at or call her at 781-749-0282.  There will be a signup sheet in the church entryway.

Ministry Schedules

Chalice bearers, Readers, Acolytes and Altar Guild members can access the ministry schedules online.  Click on the MUSIC AND WORSHIP tab above then click on the MINISTRY SCHEDULES tab on the left.  Scheduling until November 14, 2010 is now available, in .pdf format.  The Sunday morning 10 am ushers' schedule is also posted for August.
