 Year:        Class:
Each January and May, St. John's Episcopal holds a Red-Blue Day for children in grades Pre-k to Grade 6. Red-Blue Day is a fun, spirit-filled morning of crafts, games, and quiz contests designed to help the children review the Bible stories that they have learned the previous semester. It's a celebration of learning and communion where the children (and adults) have a blast!

Here's how it works: we divide each class into two separate teams: red and blue. On Red-Blue day, the children wear the colors of their team and create banners, visors, and pom poms to show their spirit. After the crafts, the children sit with their teams and participate in loud, vivacious cheering. After that, the teams from each grade come to the center and take turns answering questions from their teacher. The captain of the each team who rings the bell first gets to answer the question. Each right answer earns the team points towards fantastic prizes. After the contest, the children have a snack and watch a Bible movie. It's a fun time for all!

Why Red and Blue?? Those are the colors of the Episcopal Church. See the home page and the church school bulletin board for photos from our latest Red-Blue Day.
