Shop, Sip & See Santa at the Hingham Holiday Boutique at St. John’s Church

The ninth annual Holiday Boutique at The Parish of St John the Evangelist, 172 Main Street, has become a pre-holiday tradition in Hingham. This year’s event will take place the Saturday before Thanksgiving,
November 21, from 10 am - 5 pm.

As in the past, this year’s show features a fabulous selection of juried artisans and vendors, offering many distinctive gifts, as well as high quality clothing for men, women and children and unique jewelry and accessories. There will also be holiday trimmings, live bulbs and wreaths and merchandise celebrating Hingham’s 375th anniversary. As is customary, the majority of the Boutique’s vendors are local artisans and small business owners.

“Building on our traditions each year is something that requires a great deal of work by our many volunteers,” says Linda Hull, the Boutique’s chairperson. “But the result is always a fabulous array of products and a festive environment for shoppers to kick off their holiday season.”

Along with its longstanding Gourmet Café featuring both children’s and adult fare, Redeye Roasters will be serving up its distinctive brand of locally roasted specialty coffees and hot cocoa. Between the Café and the Coffee Shop, the Boutique provides cozy spots to sit down and re-energize while shopping.

“We love the fact that we can offer a place where you might meet a friend, bring the kids to see Santa or even spend some time as a family for the afternoon,” says Hull.

Santa will be in attendance from 11 am - 4 pm and photos will be available for a small fee. Before or after their visit with Santa, parents can enjoy quiet shopping alone if they wish to leave their children at the church’s free on-site babysitting center.

A $2 donation at the door will go to the Hingham Interfaith Food Pantry. Since the event’s inception, door proceeds have helped fund South Shore causes such as Wellspring, The Mary Martha Learning Center, Blue Hills Healthy Families and Habitat for Humanity.
