We are very excited to announce our guest preacher for Holy Week and Easter—the Rev. Kristina Andréasson from St. John’s Wood Parish in Central London. Kristina will be joining us on Palm Sunday to speak to our Sunday School children, and then will be preaching on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Easter Vigil on Easter Eve. She will also be assisting on Easter Sunday. It is such a gift to be able share in the ministry of the wider church, especially at a time of year such as this and indeed from across the pond! Kristina brings enormous gifts not only in preaching, but, as you will soon experience, in her pastoral sensibility, kindness, energy, and wisdom. It will be a delight to share Holy Week with her, and there will be opportunities for everyone to connect with Kristina when she arrives in a few weeks. Dear friends,
My name is Kristina Andréasson. I am from the south part of Sweden (Diocese of Lund), and I was ordained priest in the Church of Sweden in 2007. In 2014, I moved to London to serve as chaplain in the Swedish Church in London. That is how I got to meet Devon and Ed. I met them already my first year in London and they made sure that I felt welcome in a new city and country. In 2019, I moved from the Church of Sweden and started serving the Church of England in St. John’s Wood Parish, where I am still today.
I look forward to meeting you all and to experience Holy Week and Easter in another church. You always learn something new! And I’m of course really excited to see my dear friends Devon and Ed again!
