“Jesus said, “The kingdom of God is not coming with things that can be observed. Nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There it is!’ For, in fact, the kingdom of God is among you.” —Luke 17:20a-21
St. John’s annual stewardship campaign kicked off Oct. 4 with a moving guest sermon by Jennifer Seggev and special announcement by campaign chairs Andy Strehle and Sarah Murphy. This year’s theme is “Looking In, Working Out,” representing the need to look introspectively to bolster our outreach and evangelism.
Pledges to the campaign represent commitments to fund the parish in 2027. The wardens and finance team have set a goal of $725,000 to fully fund the church’s program next year, including increased funding for our two-priest model as the diocesan support for that position is reduced. This represents an increase of about 10% over last year’s pledge total.
The Looking In, Working Out campaign will run through mid-November.
