From the Rector: Picking up the pace

Dear friends,

This week, we find ourselves moving further into the season of Eastertide and entering the final run towards the end of our program year.

This Sunday, after the 10 a.m. Eucharist we will have our Parish Spring Clean-Up, where we will prepare our campus for our Rogation Sunday Eucharist on May 25, and indeed as part of the beginning of our Green Guardians and Creation Care ministries for the summer months. Please do come along and volunteer some time if you can! You will also have the opportunity to see up close our newly renovated labyrinth organized by our Jennifer Seggev, Michael Pizziferri, and our Creation Care Ministry.

Then, following Rogation Sunday, as we gather for worship each Sunday moving into June, we will be honoring various festivals and members of our community. On June 1, we will honor our Sunday School teachers and Youth Ministry leaders. And on June 8, we will celebrate Pentecost with Eucharist and Baptisms at 9 a.m., and then an outdoor Eucharist at 4 p.m. to begin our Summerfest celebration.

Things are certainly picking up pace, and there will be further exciting announcements to make in the coming weeks. As always, my prayers are with you, and especially as I soon complete my first year with you all. More notes on that to come as well. In the meantime, I look forward to worshipping with you and getting muddy outside on Sunday!

With every blessing,

Ed.
