The Sunday School’s Abundant Life summer program turned its attention to insects this Sunday, with Ms. Margaret leading a lesson on bees and other pollinators. The lesson included a visit from local beekeeper Matthew Ginn, who showed some of his tools to the children, and talked about the importance of bees in our world. The students also made an adorable bee craft under the guidance of Ms. Karen, and took a quick look at the pollinator gardens in front of the church before joining the congregation for Communion.
Next week’s Abundant Life lesson focuses on animals, before concluding with harvesting God’s bounty on Aug. 10.
