SummerFest returns on June 8! For those who have attended the event, you know it to be a highlight of our Church Family calendar. It is an all ages event with kids’ food and activities, but it also allows the adults to enjoy a beer or glass of wine in the sunshine with our friends. This year, SummerFest will feature:
Pentecost “Mass on the Grass” outdoor eucharist at 4 p.m.
Smokey Stax BBQ, with their highly regarded brisket, pulled pork, and chicken.
The food truck from Wellspring, serving mac & cheese, and coleslaw.
Tasty vegetarian entrees for all palates.
Chowderfest tasting competition among parishioner recipes.
Nona’s Ice Cream serving their treats in kiddy sizes.
Live music from the returning One Dime Band with our own Tim Curry.
Craft draft beer provided by Doctor’s Island of Hull.
Wine drinks expertly curated by our own Lawn Sommelier, Robin Kirk.
Kids activities including Pentecost crafts, a scavenger hunt, balloon animals, and a bouncy house.
Lawn games including cornhole, spike ball, and basketball.
The grill will be open for hot dogs and brats.
This is a free parish event open to all. But we do have costs to cover and ask for your donations to make this event work for all. Net donations after expenses will include a donation to our South African church partners. Please RSVP and make donations through the link below. If you would like to volunteer your time to the event, please email Rob Hess. We look forward to seeing you on June 8!
