St. Stephen’s Summer Program returns to St. John’s July 11
Are you ready for the most fun you’ll ever have volunteering for and supporting a worthy cause? Come join us—or support our activities—on Friday, July 11 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
St. John’s, along with our partners at St. Stephen’s of Cohasset, will be co-hosting nearly 100 kids from the B-SAFE program. B-SAFE (Boston’s Summer Academic & Fun Enrichment) is a summer program for elementary through high school kids in the South End and Lower Roxbury.
Part one of the day with these amazing kids takes place at Sandy Beach in Cohasset. The looks of joy and smiles on their faces when they splash in the water, get buried in the sand, and generally enjoy their morning at the beach are priceless!
Part two includes a great outdoor BBQ lunch and games in our parking lot and grounds. The St. Stephen’s folks will once again provide the games, and we look forward to feeding the kids beef and veggie burgers, beef hot dogs, macaroni & cheese, and brownies and cookies for dessert.
We are looking for volunteers to staff both the beach and the barbecue, and for people to provide mac & cheese and desserts for the BBQ. This is the 26th year that St. John’s is supporting B-SAFE, and we hope you’ll join us for the most rewarding day of ministry you’ve ever experienced. Click below to volunteer; thank you in advance for your ministry.
