The Episcopal Parish of St. John the Evangelist has released its latest annual report, including financial documents, the budget for 2026, and the slate of nominees for Vestry and other elected positions. Parish members will vote on the nominees at the Annual Parish Meeting on Jan. 25.
Fr. Ed’s first full year at St. John’s was a time of continued transition for the parish. Long-time organist Buffy Gray retired in January 2025. Interim organist Brian Locke and a few supply musicians occupied the organ bench until new Director of Music Monique Weiss Byrnes joined the staff in September. Nancy Holtschlag left the post of Parish Administrator at the end of the summer; Chloe Manning took that role in November. Meanwhile, the Rev. Eva Dalzell joined the parish as Curate in July, and was ordained in December.
Worship was particularly busy at St. John’s in 2025. SW5 started again in the fall. The clergy conducted over 200 services, including 22 baptisms, 14 confirmations, 3 weddings and 14 funerals.
The report, which documents the activities of all of St. John’s vital ministries, is available here.
