The Rev. Eva Dalzell was one of five new priests ordained Dec. 13 at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul in Boston. The Rt. Rev. Julia Whitworth presided over the service.
The Rev. Dalzell joined St. John’s as a Curate in July. She was raised in Washington, D.C. and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Classics at Washington University in St. Louis. She received her M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary in New Jersey in May 2025. While in seminary, the Rev. Dalzell focused on Biblical languages, stories and storytelling, and theologies of historical and contemporary marginalized communities.
The Rev. Dalzell presided over all three services at St. John’s on Dec. 14. At the 10 a.m. service she was presented with a commemorative poster and a personalized stole.
